NBI PROGRAMME THROUGH LEARNING CENTERS IN ZIMBABWE
Had it not been for the grace of the Lord, the work of raising disciple kind of leaders would have been a daunting task. God is raising and allowing us to equip and develop Christian leaders for the work of the church and its ministration. Had it not also been for the lack of resources, NBI would have fully covered the 10 provinces of Zimbabwe and established Learning centers for leaders to be equipped to lead well through the NBI Leadership and Ministry development programme. However, we thank God for the Centers that have been established so far and are operational, training leaders for the work of the Kingdom.
In Manicaland Province, NBI has 2 Centers, in Rusape rural and Buhera Birchenough Bridge rural where students enrolled for the NBI programme. In 2022, we witnessed the graduation of 4 students in Rusape under Sacred Heart Bible School. In Masvingo, there are 3 Centers under the tutelage of Apostle Michael Msindo who happens to be the Principal of Buhera, Masvingo Urban, Chivi-Mhandamabwe and Zvishavane Centers under Miletus Bible Institute. He leads these centers with a team of leaders including Pastor Mugwadi, Apostle B Mutangi and others. NBI is yet to witness a graduation there and hopes that before the end of 2024, some of the students would have completed the programme and be ready for graduation. We are grateful for those students who remain resolute regardless of the challenges they may encounter during the period of study. NBI always encourages the students to remain focused as being equipped takes a lot for one to become an approved workman who will not be ashamed of the Gospel.
We thank God for Gweru in the Midlands Province where Pistishope Bible Center under Professor Apostle P. Kariteni is doing well. Having enrolled students in June of 2022 and learning in Block releases, witnessed its first graduation in 2023 towards the end of the year. 14 students graduated from that center and 13 more enrolled for the NBI programme for 2024. Another group of students enrolled being the third class of students under the Learning Center.
Chegutu Bible College is an NBI Center under Pastor Battes and his team of administrators, the center started gradually and is gaining momentum by each day. The Center had an initial enrollment of 10 students and some of them are slowly following up on the studies. A lot still has to be done to encourage the administrators and student to continue working hard so that the center becomes the training harbor in and around Chegutu and surrounding areas. Prayers are needed to see the center growing and stabilizing in terms of administration and to strengthen the students against resource and priority challenges. This also includes Mhondoro Ngezi under Apostle B. Ntengu and Evangelist Daniel Chiwara who have revived the Apostolic Revival Ministry Center with new students having enrolled and 6 from the previous group of students having joined the class to complete their programme.
NBI asks for prayers to be able to continue reaching out to the peripheries of the country to set up learning centers and enroll those who want to be equipped for the work of the Kingdom. Some of the areas yet to be visited include among them Bulawayo, Banket, Glendale and also Chitungwiza where some people are calling for NBI programme to be relaunched. Learning centers are a good approach to enable all potential student across the country to find an NBI programme nearer to them. We are well aware of the accumulating costs of material due to operational costs and therefore the costs are being transferred to the students which further diminishes the propensity for students to enroll. NBI therefore appeals for those who are called to give towards this work of the Kingdom to see that many become equipped for the work of the church. Support towards reducing the cost of productions and transportation is a requirement needed.
